Super Bowl XLVII: Ravens vs. 49ers Predictions

The Baltimore Ravens will be playing the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII this Sunday. It will be known as the battle of the two Harbaughs. Both teams are coming off road victories. The Ravens traveled to New England and upset the favored Patriots 28-13. The Ravens defense dominated the second half of the game from start to end. The San Francisco 49ers are also coming off a road victory. They had a 28-24 comeback win against the Atlanta Falcons. Colin Kaepernick did not put up the impressive numbers he did against the Packers. He did enough to win the game, avoided turnovers and lead his team to important scores when they needed him most. Adidas Basketball 2013 All-Star Collection

Adidas Basketball announced that they will debut a special NBA All-Star edition of the D Howard Light, adizero Crazy Light 2 and the all new Crazy Fast.  Adidas will have a good amount of representation at the 62nd NBA All-Star Game in Houston. Some of the Adidas All-Stars include Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan and Jrue Holiday.

The NBA’s most exciting weekend will be a perfect place for the group of sneakers that are dipped in camo color ways to reflect the history of Houston history. Nike Basketball Presents: 2013 Black History Month Collection

Be True.” mantra, embodying Dr. King’s mindset during his period of influence. Some of the NBA players started showcasing the BHM collection yesterday. Pop Culture Deck of Cards by Chambre Sept

The designers at Chambre Sept put a unique twist to playing cards. Instead of the traditional set of suits, Chambre Sept’s deck features Hip hop, Rock, Pop and Fashion Suits.  The cards commemorate icons from the world of the music, art, entertainment and fashion in a very minimalist pop art style.

Some of the icons showcased include Kanye West, Jay Z, Lady Gaga, and Michael Jackson.

Big Sean & adidas Present: “Detroit Player” Sneakers

Big Sean has teamed up with adidas for a collaborative sneaker release. The “Detroit Players” will feature a red crocodile skin upper with gold accents. The shoes will also have a quote from the intro to Big Sean’s debut album. The quote will be on the on the inside of the ankle and it will read “I say I’m still dreaming bigger than I’m living.”

New Era Limited Edition NFL Snapback

New Era has collaborated with sporting good giant Wilson on a limited edition snapback. The cap was created to commemorate yesterday’s NFL game at Wembley Stadium between the St Louis Rams and the New England Patriots. The cap is made of authentic on-field leather and is limited to just 6 pieces. The cap went on sale today at the New Era Stratford Flagship Store and was going for $400 a piece.

Williams, Hahn Promoted By Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox have officially promoted 12 year general manager Ken Williams to executive  vice president of baseball operations. The Sox also promoted Rick Hahn , who has been Williams’s right hand man , to full time general manager. Hahn has frequently been mentioned as a candidate for other teams general manager positions and the White Sox are glad he decided to stay with the organization.

During the reign of Williams as the general manager for the Chicago White Sox the team made it the the playoffs twice but they did win the World Series in 2005. They also has a winning record in 9 out of the 12 seasons with Williams as the GM.

Tim Tebow Tops SI’s Most Overrated Player Poll

Sports Illustrated just realized the results to a poll that they took that involved 180 NFL players. The poll asked the NFL players  to name the most overrated player in the league. The winner of the poll was New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow. He received 34 percent of the votes. This is the second year in a row that Tim Tebow wins the most overrated player award.

No one else in the survey received anything higher than 10 percent. Tim Tebow’s team mate Mark Sanchez came in second place with 8 percent of the votes. The next people on the list were Tony Romo with 8 percent as well , Michael Vick with 4 percent and Ray Lewis with 3 percent.
