Fifth Dimension Collective and 119 Productions put together a pretty dope lineup for their upcoming show at Stage Bar here in Chicago. Jared A.G., Kami de Chukwu, Ibn Inglor, Scheme, DJ Scend and Benny Nice will be performing that night. Tickets will be $5 at the door on March 1st. The grand opening had been delayed several months due to construction issues, but now Corgan’s 1930s-style 30-seat Chinese tea house, set inside the former U.S. Post Office station in the Ravinia neighborhood, is finally opening. Back in December, Corgan told Eater that he wanted to create a cool space for 30- and 40-somethings to gather and exchange ideas. Corgan also added “It’s so much better than I could have hoped for… It’s people of all ages, even seven year olds are telling me they want to come to the tea shop.” Continue reading
Our Neighborhood Times is putting together a monthly series showcasing local talent. The first event will take place tomorrow at Small World Inn and will feature performances by Cojack, Free Ajents and Jam Master C. There will be drink and food specials throughout the night. Admission will be free until 10 pm. Anyone that shows up after 10pm will have to pay a $5 admission fee. Come out and support some local talent.
Come down to Juniors tomorrow night and catch Scheme with DJ Scend and Oscar Castillo on guitar, Esohel with Ricky Dubs, and a few other acts that won’t fail to impress. Juniors is at 2058 W. Cermak, it’s 21 to enter and $5 till 11PM, doors open at 9. Check out more info on the event here!
Modelo Especial has partnered up with Puma, Complex and Vita Morte for what seems to be a great event next week. The Blank Canvas Project happy hour event will take place at Chicago’s Beauty Bar on September 4th from 7 pm to 9 pm. There will also be a performance from Los Rakas at the event. Ok so I heard a lot of good things about this place before I actually got the chance to go. It seems to be the buzz of the Wicker Park area. 1566 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chicago, IL. 60622 is the address to this spot. Everybody’s always ranting and raving about this place and saying how awesome it is and how it’s the home of the 40 oz., and let me tell you, I don’t agree one bit.
